Moldovan PM has meeting with European Business Association's representatives

Chisinau, 14 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of the European Business Association (EBA), at a today’s meeting, discussed measures undertaken by the cabinet to develop a competitive business environment, as well as solutions to improve the work of the companies, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
PM Dorin Recean referred to the reforms which would create friendly premises for the development of the economy and the business environment.
„The justice reform is essential for the development of the economy and enhancing the degree of confidence in the state’s institutions. We will also create predictability as regards the budgetary planning and adoption of the fiscal policy, so that the business environment can prepare for a new fiscal cycle in advance,’’ Dorin Recean said.
The EBA representatives came up with concrete proposals for improving important aspects in the work of the companies. Business people referred to the need of stabilizing the energy market and developing the green economy, strengthening efforts for the justice reform, speeding up the process of digitalizing the public services, amendment of the legislation on taxes for waste, ensuring predictability in the fiscal policy.
A special subject was focused on the continuing the reform in the education sector, so that specialists’ exodus is diminished. The EBA representatives also stressed the need to optimize the crossing of the state border with Romania in maximal comfort for the economic agents.
The participants in the discussions with the PM welcomed the European Commission’s decision, under which Moldova, for the first time ever, had got right to export processed fowl and consumption eggs to the European Union. This is an important step on the way of the integration of the sales market of Moldova’s producers into the common European area.
