New raids in northern Moldova on agricultural subsidies case

Chisinau, March 15. /MOLDPRES/- Officers of the Northern Territorial General Directorate (DGT) of the CNA and prosecutors of the Northern Office of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office conducted searches this morning at five economic agents from Balti and former head of the Balti Territorial Section within the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA).

According to CNA, the raids aimed at accumulating evidence on passive corruption, committed by employees of the Balti Territorial Section of AIPA, as well as active corruption, committed by representatives of Limited Liability Companies who promised, offered and gave money to employees ST Balti of AIPA for obtaining subsidies in agriculture.

Currently, in the management of the CNA and the prosecutors, there are 48 criminal cases aimed at crimes of passive and active corruption, influence peddling and money laundering, committed by AIPA employees and economic agents in the process of granting agricultural subsidies.
