Moldovan government approved new tariffs for remuneration of textbook evaluators

Chisinau, March 15. /MOLDPRES/- The government increased the minimum rate for the remuneration of specialists involved in the evaluation of school textbook projects, at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Research. Thus, the minimum rate for an author's book (16 pages of text) will be 550 lei compared to 15 lei, as it was previously. A decision was approved at today's cabinet meeting, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

"The evaluator's activity is very important to ensure the quality of a school textbook. At the same time, the increase in remuneration allows us to attract the best specialists in this process", said Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală.

The Ministry of Education and Research is under elaboration of new textbooks for high school education. By September 2024, pupils in our country will have new textbooks for most school subjects.

During meetings with representatives of the publishing houses, Anatolie Topală requested the involvement of the most experienced and qualified teaching staff for the preparation of textbook projects that correspond to the rigors in the field, but also to the expectations of students and teaching staff.
