Number of COVID-19, flu cases decreasing, Ministry of Health announces

Chisinau, March 15. /MOLDPRES/- In the last week, 2,836 cases of COVID-19 were registered, down by over 23% compared to the previous week, 48 cases of seasonal flu, down by 22.6% and 7,825 viruses, announces the Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry, recently the number of hospitalizations due to acute viral respiratory infections has also decreased, by about 6%. Respectively, 263 people with viruses and 32 with flu were hospitalized in medical institutions. Most admissions are among children up to four years old.

At the same time, the relevant ministry informs that no deaths caused by the flu have been recorded. In total, 1 817 cases of influenza and 232 522 cases of virosis were confirmed this season.
