Commission for Emergency Situations approved decisions on ensuring public order, energy security

Chisinau, March 15. /MOLDPRES/- Members of the Commission for Emergency Situations prohibited the use of corporate symbols of legal entities during meetings, public demonstrations, rallies or other public events. The exception will be non-working public holidays. The decision was approved at today's meeting of the Commission, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

It is also prohibited to use bulletproof vests, covers, belts and multifunctional tactical vests, body cameras and portable radio stations by private people and legal entities that have no such rights by law. Commercialization of service uniforms and insignia of special status civil servants and of the military is prohibited, except of cases where procurement is initiated under the Law on Public Procurement, or at the request of civil servants.

At the same time, the CSE members decided to extend from April to September 2023 the deadline for the purchase of electricity by Energocom company, based on direct negotiations. The suppliers will conclude bilateral contracts with Energocom to ensure the necessary quantities of electricity, and in case of tariff changes - additional agreements will be signed.

According to the CSE decision, Termoelectrica company was exempted from paying VAT for the purchased fuel oil, in a volume of up to 132 thousand tons.

Some adjustments have been made to the mechanism for distributing firewood to the population. According to them, Moldsilva Agency will set the sales limit.

Also, starting from 1 April a number of provisions of the CSE, which refer to the issuance of authorizations for cutting in the forest fund and in the forest vegetation outside the forest fund will be repealed. At the same time, the firewood release mechanism will be repealed, given the completion of the 2022-2023 cold season. A Regulation on the matter for the next heating season will be set up by the Moldsilva Agency and presented to the Ministry of the Environment for approval.

According to the CSE instruction, the activity of the Single Crisis Management Center is suspended starting from March 15, 2023. The decision was taken in the context in which Ukrainian refugees benefit from support from the Republic of Moldova through the mechanism of granting temporary protection to displaced persons from Ukraine, approved by the Government for a period of 1 year.

Another provision refers to the abrogation of the previous decision of the CSE, which allowed the activity of itinerant trade within fairs for a maximum period of 120 consecutive days. The APL decisions adopted so far will be valid until the expiration of the stipulated term.
