Energocom to further purchase electricity under direct negotiations

Chisinau, March 16. /MOLDPRES/- The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) decided to extend for the period April-September 2023 the term for the purchase of electricity by Energocom company under direct negotiations.
According to the CSE decision, the suppliers will conclude bilateral contracts with Energocom to ensure the necessary quantities of electricity, and in case of changes in tariffs - additional agreements will be signed.
"In order to ensure the quantities of electricity needed by final consumers and system operators to cover technological consumption and losses in the electricity networks, the providers of the universal service, of last option and the system operators will procure electricity based on the bilateral contracts concluded with Energocom", the CSE decision reads.
At the same time, the CSE established the exemption of Termoelectrica from the VAT payment for the fuel oil in a volume of up to 132 thousand tons.
The Commission members also approved some adjustments to the mechanism for distributing firewood to the population. According to them, the Moldsilva Agency will set the sales limit at a maximum volume of five sterile meters per household and 200 sterile meters per non-domestic consumer.
