Moldovan speaker meets new ambassador of Japan

Chisinau, March 16. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting with new Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Moldova Yoichiro Yamada, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The officials agreed to make efforts to increase the volume of Japanese investments in Moldova and to promote Moldovan products as much as possible on the Japanese market. Another priority was parliamentary cooperation, including within the friendship group and specialized committees.
Grosu said that over the years, Japan has demonstrated that it is an important partner of our country, and the citizens of the Republic of Moldova benefit fully from the important Japanese investments in medicine, agriculture, IT, local infrastructure.
"Our countries enjoy an excellent relationship, Japan being the third most important development partner of Moldova. I assured Mr. Ambassador that he has all the openness of the Parliament to set even stronger relations," he said.
