Chisinau, March 16. /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean's visit to Drochia began in the village of Pelinia, where the Țurcanu family is developing a cheese production business. Spouses Aliona and Alexandru opened the farm in 2014, based on the income accumulated during 17 years of working abroad. The cheeses from Pelinia reach the shelves of stores in the northern part of the country and in Chisinau, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Țurcanu family plans to expand business, diversify production and provide new jobs for the local people. Also, the entrepreneurs want to turn their farm into a tourist attraction, and the quality of the cheeses to serve as a business card, to attract buyers and tourists to the area.
"I'm glad to meet people like you, with an entrepreneurial spirit, who are building Europe at home. We will have to find solutions to provide predictability to business financing, so that you can access resources and grow your business," said Recean.
The "Vismalv" family farm was included in the tourist route developed within the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) project on supporting the capacities to promote agri-food products.
