Chisinau, March 17. /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan vocational education institutions participate in the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union for the first time. The opportunities of the Program were presented during an information session attended by directors of vocational schools of our country.
The new framework of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 allows vocational schools to participate in capacity building projects in the education and professional training. The projects involve international cooperation actions, based on multilateral partnerships between organizations active in the field of education and professional training from the countries associated with the Erasmus+ program (EU states, Iceland, North Macedonia, Turkey, Norway, Serbia and Liechtenstein) and from third countries, which are not associated with the program, such as the Republic of Moldova. The initiatives aim to support the relevance, accessibility and adaptability of vocational education and training institutions.
Currently, there are 90 vocational education institutions operating in the Republic of Moldova, with a total number of over 45 thousand students.
