Twenty four 24 companied set up by Diaspora Moldovans to receive grants on behalf of state

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 24 companies created by Diaspora workers or their first degree relatives today signed contracts with the Entrepreneurship Development Organization (ODA), in order to benefit from non-refundable financing through the Programme on Attraction of Remittances into the Economy PARE 1+2. The overall sum of the grants is of about 6.8 million lei (340,000 euros) and the volume of investments in the economy will be about 16 million lei.
Thus, 15 businesses will access up to 250,000 lei, according to the 1+1 rule, which means that the state will allocate one Moldovan leu in form of grant to each leu invested from remittances. Another 9 companies which have earlier benefited from financing at the 1+1 component were accepted for the 1+2 component and they are to receive support for extension and development of up to 500,000 lei, i.e. 2 lei in form of grant for each Moldovan leu invested.
The representatives of those 24 companies selected for financing are migrants who work in ten states, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Romania, Belgium, Poland, Ukraine and Russia. Seven out of the companies benefiting from grant work in the rural environment, being placed in Hancesti, Soroca, Criuleni, Orhei, Ialoveni and Drochia.
Five enterprises out of all the number of appliers for non-refundable financing work in the processing industry and deal with the fabrication of furniture, medical equipment, wood package, etc. Another eight businesses work in the agriculture sector and namely apiculture and culture of fruit trees. At the same time, 11 companies are specialized in the providing of services: transport and depositing, health and social assistance, accommodation, administrative services and activities of support services, recreation and leisure activities.
