MPs from Moldova, Romania to cooperate for implementing reforms in justice

Chisinau, March 23 /MOLDPRES/- First joint meeting of the legal commission on rules and immunities and the legal commission for discipline and immunities of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies took place today in Chisinau. The officials agreed to lay the foundations of a collaboration for the initiation of reforms in the field.
During the meeting, it was decided to create several joint working groups.
"Several topics, such as the one that refers to the activity of clerks and judicial assistants, will be taken up by some MPs of the legal commission on rules and immunities and and other colleagues from the Chamber of Deputies. We will create working groups, which will offer common solutions for several months. The process of harmonizing legislation is a complex one, but we will benefit from Romania's experience", the deputy head of the Moldovan commission, Veronica Roșca, said.
Romanian commission's head Laura Vicol expressed openness to continue to offer support to the Republic of Moldova and appreciated the adoption of the legislative initiative that provides for the phrase "Romanian language" in all documents in our country.
At the same time, the Romanian commission members had meetings with Speaker Igor Grosu, members of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee, Moldova-Romania Friendship Parliamentary Group and Justice Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru.
