Exhibition dedicated to departed Romanian poet opened at Moldova's National Library

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of documents titled, I am nothing but a spot of blood which speaks…, on the occasion of the 90th birthday anniversary of the departed Romanian poet, Nichita Stanescu, was inaugurated at the National Library (BNRM) today.
According to the organizers, the exhibition suggests an urge to reading, for rediscovering the work of the ingenious poet, who changed the language, subjects and myths of the Romanian lyricism. The documents exhibited show the work of the almost unknown great European lyrical poet; the writer’s poetry; about Nichita Stanescu in Bessarabia and in translations of world’s languages.
Nichita Stanescu was born in the Ploiesti city, Romania, on 31 March 1933. He passed away in Bucharest on 13 December 1983. s
The exhibition can be visited till 30 April.
