Elections in Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia: Moldovan electoral body accredits ten international observers

Chisinau, 31 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today accredited ten international observers for the monitoring of the elections of the governor (bashkan) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (UTA Gagauzia) and of the partial elections for UTA Gagauzia’s People’s Assembly (local parliament), due on 30 April 2023.

According to CEC, five people accredited as international observers are on behalf of the General Consulate of Turkey from Comrat. Another five persons are on behalf of the Embassy of Sweden in Moldova.

The people accredited will carry out their work under the legislation of Moldova.

Also, at the meeting, CEC confirmed the person in charge of finances on behalf of the New Historical Option Political Party.
