Moldovan president, Ukrainian counterpart discuss bilateral cooperation in Kyiv

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on 31 March afternoon.
According to the presidential press service, during the discussion, the Moldovan head of state expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people, as well as admiration for the courage with which they defend their motherland from Russia’s brutal aggression.
„I considered with the president of Ukraine a string of subjects on the bilateral agenda, including our cooperation on projects on modernization and extension of the infrastructure, as well as strengthening the energy security. We also agreed on better coordinating the efforts in the process of getting the initiation of the negotiations on accession to EU,’’ the Moldovan president said.
At the same time, President Maia Sandu assured her counterpart that Moldova would further be with Ukraine and its courageous people, who fight for their freedom and for our peace.
President Maia Sandu on 31 March was on a visit to Ukraine, where she participated in the Bucha 2023 Summit, at an invitation by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
