Moldovan parliament speaker to pay official visit to Lithuania

Chisinau, 2 April /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will pay an official visit to Lithuania on 3-5 April, at an invitation by his Vilnius counterpart, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The speaker will meet Lithuania’s leadership – President Gitanas Nausėda, Speaker of the Seimas (parliament) Viktorija Čmilyté-Nielsen and Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė. In Vilnius, the two parliament speakers Igor Grosu and Viktorija Čmilyté-Nielsen will give a news conference.
The visit’s agenda includes discussions with the heads of the parliamentary committees on European affairs, foreign relations, national security and defence, as well as MPs of the group of friendship with Moldova of the Lithuanian Seimas. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will also have meetings with Deputy Defence Minister Greta Monika Tučkute, as well as with representatives of Green genius international company in the renewable energy sector.
Traditionally, the visit’s agenda includes a meeting of the parliament speaker with Moldovan citizens who live, study or work in Lithuania.
The delegation due to accompany the parliament speaker on his visit to Vilnius will include MPs: the head the group of friendship with Lithuania Ion Babici and a member of the parliament’s commission for human rights and interethnic relations, Vitali Gavrouc.
