Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) today received a consignment of computer technology on behalf of the Soros Moldova Foundation.
IGP head Viorel Cernauteanu stressed that the equipment would be delivered to the police inspectorates in the territory. ‘’Back on the pandemic period, the Soros Moldova Foundation got involved into a process of support, endowment and training of police employees. The today’s donation includes useful and absolutely necessary technology for the colleagues in the territory. This year, more actions are planned concerning the digitalization of the inspectorates’ work, which will substantially ease the activity of the colleagues,’’ Viorel Cernauteanu said.
For his part, the executive director of Soros Moldova, Petru Culeac, said the foundation supported the sustainable partnership with the authorities. ‘’The Interior Ministry has an ambitious plan on the modernization of the police inspectorates, which will positively influence the safety of the citizens. We back these initiatives and we actively get involved in this development process,’’ Petru Culeac noted.
