Chisinau, April 5 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the 7 April 2009 events. Visitors will have the opportunity to see various objects and documents recovered from the building after the events of that time.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, for the first time, several things saved from the fire are exhibited – a microphone, a red carpet, desk phones, audio and video installations and a flag. A separate chapter of the exhibition is that of the documents that were saved, but which retain the traces of the fire. The documents belong to the Parliament Archive. During the events of April 7, 2009, part of the collection of documents from the Legislative Archives was burned. Around 3000 files containing information from 1946-2009 were destroyed.

Also, the exhibition contains a series of photographs showing the events of April 7, 2009, as well as several works by multimedia artist Valeria Barbas. The painter, who is also the curator of the exhibition, created the works over the course of two decades, being inspired by various socio-political events.

The exhibition that symbolically marks 14 years since the events of April 7, 2009 can be visited at the Parliament by April 10. Later, it will be hosted by the National History Museum of Moldova.
