Winter conditions on roads in early April

Chisinau, April 5 /MOLDPRES/- After the rainfall of the last few days, the accessibility of the road infrastructure is ensured in more complicated conditions, especially on the network of national roads in the northern and central regions.

According to the State Road Administration (ASD), yesterday and today, the maintenance works of the national roads during the winter continued in the regions where the interventions of the territorial units of Roads company were needed. In the North and Center, patrolling, snowmobile fighting and snow removal work were carried out.

ASD warns drivers to drive with caution, to adapt the speed regime to the winter traffic conditions, to strictly follow the traffic rules, road signs and not to start the road unequipped.

According to the meteorologists, until tomorrow, April 6, heavy precipitation (15-20 l/m2 for 12 hours) will fall on extensive areas as rain and sleet turning into snow, the northwest wind will gust up to 15-20 m/s.
