Energocom to cooperate with Polish commodity exchange

Chisinau, April 5 /MOLDPRES/- Energocom company has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the electricity market operator and also the only authorized commodity exchange in Poland - Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE) SA. The document was signed at the Moldovan-Polish Business Forum, held today in Chisinau, on the eve of the visit of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to the Republic of Moldova.
According to Energocom, the memorandum opens up new opportunities for cooperation and will allow the company to take on Polish experience and access a new market. "In addition to the exchange of knowledge and expertise made available by Polish colleagues, this document will be like an open gate to access the stock market and energy market in Poland at any time," Energocom acting director Victor Bânzari said.
The Vice President of the Management Board of Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A. (TGE), Piotr Listwoń, said that with the signing of the memorandum of cooperation, TGE took the first step on the energy market in the Republic of Moldova. "There is an investment potential resulting from the urgent need to modernize and transform the Moldovan economy, and our company's activity is consistent with the development of Moldovan-Polish relations and Chisinau's desire to get closer to the European Union," said Piotr Listwoń.
In October 2022, Energocom was registered on the Romanian stock exchange, after opening a branch and obtaining a license, and subsequently made purchases of electricity and natural gas.
