List of Baccalaureate centres approved in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - The National Commission for Examinations today approved the list of those 93 baccalaureate centres for the 2023 year session, due to be held on 2-20 June. Thirty one out of the overall number of centres are in Chisinau. One baccalaureate centre will be opened in 16 districts each.
As many as 19,064 candidates are registered for the 2023 examination sessions, by almost 500 candidates more against the year before. A number of 2,487 candidates are people who failed to pass the exams at the earlier sessions.
According to the Education and Research Ministry, this year, 8,798 candidates submitted applications to take the school-leaving examinations in math and sciences track, 9,415 candidates – at the humanist profile, 537 candidates – at the arts profile and 314 candidates – at the sports profile.
According to the education language, the candidates registered for the session are distributed as follows: Romanian language of education: 15,441 candidates, the Russian/English/Bulgarian/Ukrainian/Gagauz education language – 3,623 candidates.
The tests solved will be verified at four republican evaluation centres from the Chisinau city starting from 2 June. On 26 June, the marks from the basic session will be posted at the baccalaureate centres.
