Moldovan PM visits company for producing dry fruits, vegetables from central district

Chisinau, 5 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean, on a visit to the central Criuleni district, went to the Zolonceni village, where the spouses Castravet develop a business specialized in the production of dry fruits, vegetables and melons. The family holds a laboratory with a full production cycle – from cutting and drying, up to the packing and preserving in the fridge, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Also, the mini-factory is endowed with equipment for the production of ecological chips and jams, which get to be sold at fairs in Chisinau. On the next period, the factory’s managers plan to extend the business and to deliver on market a wide variety of products, through the use of innovative environmental friendly technologies and biodegradable packing.
Young people from the village are also involved in programmes of probation, in the technological process of the enterprise. Moreover, to provide business people with services of consultancy and support, the Castravet family set up the Association of Producers and Processors of Fruits and Melons.
PM Dorin Recean appreciated that the number of ecological businesses from Moldova was increasing, reiterating that one of the cabinet’s priorities was the protection of the environment and backing the ecological agriculture. At the same time, according to Prime Minister Recean, the authorities will further support the launch of qualitative and safe products for the domestic market and export: ‘’We encourage the private initiatives of our citizens and we will remain by the side, to contribute together to enhancing the competitiveness of the Moldovan goods and ensuring a safe and predictable business environment.’’
