ELECTIONS IN GAGAUZIA: Over 92,000 voters expected at polls on 30 April

Chisinau, Apr. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Comrat electoral commission approved the format and content of the ballots for the governor (bashkan) elections and the partial elections in the People's Assembly of Gagauzia of April 30.
According to the CEC in the region, over 92 thousand citizens with the right to vote are registered in the Gagauz autonomy. Starting from April 10, local residents will be able to check themselves in the voter lists, according to gagauzinfo.md.
Nicolai Dudoglo, Grigori Uzun, Mihail Formuzal, Victor Petrov, Dmitri Croitor, Serghei Cernev, Evghenia Guţul and Serghei Cimpoies are aspiring for the governor position.
CEC has already accredited several international observers to monitor the elections of the governor of Gagauzia and the partial elections for the People's Assembly of the Gagauz autonomy on April 30.
The governor (bashkan) is the supreme official of the Gagauz-Yeri Territorial-Autonomous Unit. All the authorities of the public administration of the autonomy are subordinated to him. Governor elections are held once every four years.
