Bismobil Kitchen founder escaped, wanted by police

Chisinau, Apr. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Bismobil Kitchen founder, who was to return to preventive detention for 30 days escaped.
According to PCCOCS, he was to return to pretrial detention after the Chisinau Court of Appeal previously accepted the lawyers' appeal and placed him under house arrest. However he did not show at the Chisinau Court. "He removed from his body the electronic bracelet on the basis of which he was monitored by the law enforcement officers, threw away the clothes he was wearing, so as not to be recognized and escaped. Currently, he is being wanted by the Police of the Republic of Moldova to be detained", the PCCOCS press release reads.
PCCOCS reminds that the prosecutors' note was to be examined a few days ago, but the meeting was postponed at the request of the defense side, citing the need to hear some witnesses. Initially, the accused was detained on January 19, 2023, at Chisinau airport, just as he was about to leave the Republic of Moldova, bound for Moscow.
The prosecutors claim that in the case in which the founder of "Bismobil Kitchen" is being investigated, there are 158 victims who suffered damages of millions of lei.
