Customs Service collected over 627 million lei last week

Chisinau, April 10 /MOLDPRES/- Last week, the Customs Service collected over 627 million lei to the state budget. Since the beginning of this year, the institution has collected about 9.2 billion lei to the state budget, up by 16.4% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Customs Service, private people introduced goods whose value in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, payments worth over 22.5 million lei were collected for one week, which represents 3.6% of the total amount. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects.

On 3 -9 April, 11,994 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of transport was 67,239 crossings.

In terms of the fight against fraud, 42 violations of customs legislation were found and fines of over 216 thousand lei were applied.
