ANSA found violations in transport, sale of live fish

Chisinau, April 10 /MOLDPRES/- National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) inspectors found violations, after checking the compliance with sanitary and veterinary requirements during the transport of live fish.
The actions focused on checks in the vicinity of places where live fish are sold in several regions of the country, to verify compliance with sanitary-veterinary requirements during the transport and sale of live fish.
During the controls, several violations were detected: transporting live fish without veterinary health certificates and documents of origin; transporting live fish with unauthorized transport units that did not have the appropriate equipment; transporting live fish suspected of being acquired through poaching activities.
As a result, several reports were made, and the persons who violated the legislation will be sanctioned according to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Moldova.
As of today, the order of the Environment Agency on establishment of fishing ban periods and areas in the natural aquatic objectives of this year entered into force. According to the document, a fishing ban period is declared in the aquatic objectives of the Republic of Moldova from April 10 to June 30.
