Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has participated in the opening of a roundtable dedicated to economic diplomacy, held in Chisinau on 10-13 April. The event brings together ambassadors and general consuls of Moldova accredited abroad, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In his speech, the PM stressed the importance of promoting Moldovan goods abroad, through strengthening the commercial and economic cooperation with the European states, boosting the exports and active participation in international exhibitions with impact.
‘’The promotion of exports with native products means more jobs in Moldova, diversification of markets, attraction of investments and development of new infrastructure projects. We must present our opportunities to potential investors, speak about benefits and continue working to improve the business environment. Despite the security situation in the region, our country is stable and the state’s institutions are capable to remove attempts to destabilize and to ensure the peace and calm in Moldova,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
The PM also highlighted nine reasons for which Moldova deserved to become a prosperous point of attraction for foreign investors, with benefits felt for the Moldovan citizens and invited the diplomatic corps to promote them in the accreditation states.
„Those who will invest in Moldova will have access to the European Union’s market, due to the Free Trade Agreement, will have access to capital markets and professional well-paid human resources. Certainly, the aligning with the EU acquis will allow us having strong and efficient institutions. We have efficient development platforms, such as free economic zones and IT Parks, which fit diverse business models and the digitalization of the public services remains a priority of the cabinet. We are to extend the access to financing for the small- and medium-sized enterprises and invest in big road and railway infrastructure projects,’’ PM Dorin Recean noted.
The economic event is organized by the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry, in partnership with the Commercial Law Development Program of the U.S. Department of Trade and Digital Park.
