Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ - The customs and border authorities of Moldova and Romania today enforced, in testing regime, the coordinated control at the Leuseni-Albita border crossing point on the territory of Romania.
During the testing exercise, the control procedures at the crossing of the state border in the direction of exit from Moldova were carried out within the infrastructure of the Albita border checkpoint, placed in Romania.
The Customs Service (SV) noted that the exercise had ended successfully, without the jeopardizing or rendering difficult of state border’s crossing. ‘’In continuation, the last adjustings of the needed infrastructure will be made, as well as of the internal procedures on the Romanian side, for the entrance into force of the bilateral agreement,’’ SV also said.
The agreement between the governments of Moldova and Romania on coordinated control on the territory of Romania at the Leuseni-Albita border crossing point was signed in last February.
