Moldovan head of state urges all citizens to participate in National Assembly European Moldova on 21 May

Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today launched an initiative to summon the National Assembly of citizens, the presidential press service has reported.
„Today I launched the initiative to summon an assembly of citizens in Chisinau, during which we should tell the entire world that we are Europeans and that this is the way chosen by us. The National Assembly European Moldova will be organized on 21 May on the Great National Assembly Square. Let us give an answer to those who wonder what the Moldovans want. A clear-cut answer. Our voice, of many people, the voice of our people, should be heard,’’ the head state said.
Also, in her message, President Maia Sandu said: ‘’I come up with an urge to all people who till the land, teachers, students, non-governmental organizations, entrepreneurs, physicians, culture people, private sector employees, civil servants to back our common dream together. Let us prove that we want peace. We want the European Union to be at home in our country.’’
At the same time, the Moldovan president noted that Moldova was in a great crucial moment. ‘’We are in a great crucial moment. What we do now will influence our lives, the lives of our children and of the children of our children. I come up with this urge to all citizens, as in the crucial moments, the great decisions are not taken only by politicians. The great decisions are taken by people on the Great National Assembly Square. Now, it is time for us to unite and become part of the European family together. I wait you on the National Assembly – European Moldova,’’ President Maia Sandu stressed.
