Moldovan MPs to convene in meeting

Chisinau, April 11 /MOLDPRES/- MPs will convene in a meeting on April 13. The standing bureau approved the biweekly agenda.

They will examine in the final reading amendments to several normative acts: the Law on postal communications, the Law on consumer information on food products and the Law on insurance or reinsurance activity. Also in the second reading will be examined the draft law amending some normative acts to simplify procedures in the criminal process, the document on implementation of Protocol No16 to the Convention for Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the legislative initiative aimed at improving the mechanism for issuing compulsory licenses.

The draft law on guaranteeing deposits in banks, the draft law on whistleblowers and the draft law on Human Biobank will be considered in the first reading. The agenda also included the draft law aimed at road administration, as well as the legislative initiatives on amendments to the Law on public servant with special status within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to the Vine and Wine Law and to the Law on health insurance policy.

Some agreements will be proposed for consideration and ratification in the plenary session: Agreement with Georgia on mutual recognition and protection of geographical indications, signed in Tbilisi on February 1, 2023; Agreement with the European Union on road transport of goods, signed in Lyon on June 29, 2022; Agreement with the International Committee of the Red Cross on status, privileges and immunities of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of Moldova, signed in Chisinau on January 11.
