Romania to provide grants for joint research and innovation projects with Moldova

Chisinau, April 11 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan researchers will be able to carry out joint projects with their colleagues across the Prut River and will benefit from grants for innovation and research from Bucharest government.
Funding proposals can be submitted starting at the end of April, and the projects will be implemented by this October. The provision is set in the National Research, Development and Innovation Plan of Romania for 2022-2027.
The conditions for accessing the funding were announced at the conference of the Romanian academic and scientific diaspora "Smart diaspora: diaspora in higher education, science, innovation and entrepreneurship 2023", organized in Timișoara, on April 10-13.
Attending the event, Minister of Education and Research (MEC) Anatolie Topală said "access to research infrastructure in Romania and joint grants are a huge support and offer opportunities for scientists from the Republic of Moldova to get involved in international projects". "We will soon approve an ambitious national research and innovation plan. The objective of these changes is to be more and more present in the world circuit of science, research and innovation", he said.
