Chisinau, 11April /MOLDPRES/ - Seven judges of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ), who have earlier submitted applications on resignation, the legal effects of which were suspended through an instruction by the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), will cease their work as judges of this court, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

CSE intervened with adjustings to the concerned instruction, through which it abrogated several particular provisions, including the one on the suspension of the legal effects of the applications on resignation of CSJ judges, for a period of 30 days. The decision was approved, in the context that the state’s authorities adjusted the normative framework with the mechanisms necessary for settling the difficulties dealing with the provisional completion of the vacant positions of judge in the supreme law court and initiated a contest for filling, through temporary transfer, of the vacant offices of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice.

Another decision of the Commission stipulates that, in the context of the second meeting of the European Political Community, held in Moldova on 1 June 2023, the Interior Ministry and its subordinated institutions will carry out the same procedure of acquisitions, which has been earlier assigned to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry.

Also, the CSE members ruled to resume the work of the Express Hall at the headquarters of the Chisinau International Airport.
