Moldova's National Anticorruption Centre detains Ukrainian citizen, after trying to bribe special status officer

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - A Ukrainian citizen has been detained by the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA), after he had tried to bribe a special status officer with 600 dollars.
According to CNA, the state’s structures acted based on a denunciation by the special status officer, who informed the law-enforcement bodies that a Ukrainian citizen had proposed him bribe to facilitate the crossing of Moldova’s border by six citizens of Armenia through the Chisinau International Airport.
According to the information provided by the denouncer, the citizen of Ukraine would have promised the officer by 100 dollars for each foreign citizen, who had entered Moldova. The final destination of the group of foreigners was one of the European countries.
A 54-year-old Ukrainian citizen was caught in act during the delivery of money at the Chisinau Airport today morning. Also, those six persons who were to enter Moldova got ban and are to return to their origin country.
