Charity exhibition on subject of Easter Holidays staged at Moldovan parliament

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of works made by a group of children with severe disabilities from the central Ialoveni district is staged at the parliament’s headquarters on the occasion of the Easter Holidays.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the exhibition titled, Beauty in children’s eyes, contains works on Easter subjects, among which wax candles and paintings made by pupils beneficiaries of the Inclusive Education Unit of the Petre Stefanuca Theoretical Lyceum from the Ialoveni town. Those 25 children with disabilities, who come from eight settlements of this district, guided by their parents and support teachers, made the works at vocational workshops they attend at the institution.
The exhibition is a charity one and the funds raised by the parliament will be used by the lyceum’s administration for the development of vocational workshops, meant to provide assistance to the children from the inclusive education unit.
The exhibition will be opened till 21 April.
The Petre Stefanuca Theoretical Lyceum presently has 1,105 pupils and 71 teachers. The first structures for the inclusion of children with severe disabilities were set up at the institution 11 years ago.
