Chisinau, April 12 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean urged citizens to participate in European Moldova National Assembly, due to be organized on 21 May in the Great National Assembly Square, to demonstrate that we are a peaceful people who have chosen the European path of development. The statements were made at the beginning of today's cabinet meeting.
"President Maia Sandu announced to convene European Moldova National Assembly on 21 May and I call on everyone to participate and demonstrate that we want peace and we are a people who know what we want, who know how to work, a people who have chosen a clear path – European integration, let's build Europe at home. I want us to mobilize and work for this goal", he said.
Dorin Recean said that there is a group of citizens who "try to make an impression in the country and abroad that there is chaos in the Republic of Moldova, that Moldovans support Russia's war in Ukraine and that we as a country are not European". "However, we are different. Thanks to Ukraine we don't have missiles here, but we do have hybrid attacks in which these citizens, few but criminally minded, participate. We will reform the justice system, we will do everything necessary to clarify ourselves. We are a peaceful people, but we know what we want and we know how to act", said Recean.
This week, President Maia Sandu launched an initiative to convene European Moldova National Assembly on May 21 in the center of the capital.
