Moldovan cabinet approves simplified rules for domestic trade

Chisinau, April 12 /MOLDPRES/- Government approved today following the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization the simplification of several rules and regulations for internal trade and the activity of entrepreneurs, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, 14 regulations were revised, updated and merged, being approved in a new version, through a single normative act, the rules that refer to the internal trade. These include the rules for carrying out the trade activity, the regulation on how to indicate the prices of the products offered to consumers; the sanitary regulation for commercial units practicing food trade activity.
Also, eight Government decisions were abrogated, aimed at the development of itinerant trade, retail trade, as well as other processes in the activity of entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova.
"Entrepreneurs are unable to comply with the unnecessary rules imposed. We want to help business people by reducing their burden and giving them more freedom to grow their businesses. We want them to have the best tools and resources to succeed", said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba.
The purpose of these changes is to remove ambiguities in the implementation process and to exclude competing legal rules that can be found in the regulations.
