Moldovan, Romanian officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, April 13 /MOLDPRES/- The head of Moldovan diplomacy, Nicu Popescu, had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Bogdan Aurescu in Bucharest, the MAEIE press service has reported.
"I thanked him for the invitation addressed to me and my Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba (via video conference), to participate in the second trilateral meeting of our countries and for Romania's support in our countries' accession to the EU ", Popescu said.
The officials discussed the progress made by the authorities in implementing the recommendations of the European Commission, as well as the alignment with the community acquis. They also referred to the organization of the European Political Community Summit - an important opportunity to promote our European agenda and strengthen collaboration with other EU and non-EU member states in the region.
"I used this opportunity to thank my Romanian counterpart for the unconditional diplomatic support offered to the Republic of Moldova in our European path.
We also talked about our excellent cooperation in various fields and welcomed the fact that the ties between the Republic of Moldova and Romania are becoming stronger, including through concrete infrastructure projects, construction of bridges, new power lines, as well as many other projects that are coming to develop Moldova for the benefit of all citizens.
On April 12-13, Popescu pays a working visit to Bucharest.
