Moldovan PM meets representatives of Jewish Community of Moldova

Chisinau, April 14 /MOLDPRES/- The government supports the events commemorating the 120th anniversary of the Jewish pogrom in Chisinau, due on April 20-21. The issue was discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and President of the Jewish Community of Moldova Alexander Bilinkis, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The officials also referred to the implementation of the Action Plan for promoting the memory of the Holocaust and the culture of tolerance in order to combat racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance, approved for 2021-2024.

Community representatives highlighted the role of this plan set up by the authorities for coordinating activities in perpetuating the memory of the Holocaust and combating anti-Semitism.
