Moldovan president hands Order of the Republic to Codreanca Sports Dance Club staff

Chisinau, 14 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, at a today’s official ceremony, handed the Order of the Republic distinction to the Codreanca Sports Dance Club, for the propagation of the sports dance, development of the artistic and sports potential of young dancers and the promotion of a good image of Moldova abroad, the presidential press service has reported.
Three trainers of the Codreanca club were also awarded state distinctions: the Order of the Republic was offered to the chief trainer, Svetlana Gozun, and Elena Gozun and Nicolai Oreschin were awarded the honorific title of Master in Art. The trainers were awarded distinctions as a token of appreciation of the talent and professional mastership, for merits in the development of the choreographic art and promotion of the sports dance.
The head of state stressed the considerable contribution of these artists to the raising of the choreographic standards to world levels and to the creation of new generations of champions. The decree was signed by President Maia Sandu on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Codreanca Sports Dance Club. Today, Codreanca means about 20,000 disciples and trainers who work in many countries of the world. The sports club has 43 golden medals, 33 silver ones and 26 bronze medals got at World and European Championships.
