„Moldova is not only a country beneficiary of foreign assistance, but also actively contributes to the European and international stability – this is what I stated at my meetings with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana. He reiterated the organization’s support for strengthening the defence capacities of Moldova through diverse partnerships and dialogues we have with the NATO.
At the same time, I participated in the Black Sea Security Conference, organized under the aegis of the Crimea Platform, during which I referred to the regional security and the repercussions of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine on the region, and Moldova, as well as to the unprecedented solidarity of the Moldovan people with the Ukrainian people.
At the conference, I reiterated that Moldova is a European country, which embraces the democracy, freedom and respect for the human rights. I am confident that, due to these values and the well-done job at home, Moldova will be full-fledged member of the European Union.
I also discussed the Summit of the European Political Community, which will be hosted by Moldova on 1 June. At this event, our friends will be able to make sure that our attachment or the European future is solid.
On the sidelines of my visit to Bucharest, I gave more interviews with the Romanian and Ukrainian media,’’ the Moldovan diplomacy head added.
