Departed Moldovan writer would have turned 100 years

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/ - A departed Moldovan writer, Merited Master in Art from Russia (1970), participant in the World War II Petrea Darienco would have turned 100 years today.
According to the National Calendar, Petrea Darienco was born in the Valea Hotului village, presently Dolinskoe, Ukraine. He studied at the Tiraspol-based State Pedagogical Institute (presently the State University of Tiraspol). During his years as a student, Darienco started publishing poems. He graduated from the higher party school under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1952.
Darienco was MP of the Supreme Soviet of the Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic in the 4-7 legislative periods. He was awarded the Lenin order and tree orders Red Banner of Labour, as well as two orders The Honorary Badge.
Petrea Darienco passed away in Moscow on 9 July 1976.
