Customs Service collected over 615 million lei last week

Chisinau, April 18 /MOLDPRES/- Past week, the Customs Service collected over 615 million lei to the state budget. Since the beginning of the year, the institution has collected about 9.8 billion lei to the state budget, 16.9% more compared to the same period last year.

According to the Customs Service, private people introduced goods whose value in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, being collected for one week payments worth more than 23.9 million lei, which represents 3.8% of the total amount collected. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects.

Also, on April 10-17, 12,449 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 84,092 crossings.

In the fight against fraud, 30 violations of customs legislation were found and fines of over 132 thousand lei were applied.
