Policemen establish over 2,500 infringements in road traffic in Moldova on days off

Chisinau, 18 April /MOLDPRES/ - Patrol inspectors established 2,541 infringements of the Road Traffic Regulation on the last days off.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), 1,137 drivers exceeded the speed limit and 49 were removed from driving, as they were found driving drunk.
At the same time, 356 drivers did not observe road signs and the ones for giving priority of movement; 231 infringed rules of stopping of a vehicle, 178 were caught driving without their safety belts on and 41 drivers failed to cede the passage of pedestrians and cyclists.
On the days off, patrol agents intervened in 117 cases, with the calls received by the 112 Single Service.
