Creation of State Register of Topographic and Geodetic Works approved

Chisinau, April 19 /MOLDPRES/- The government will make available to local public authorities of the first level an effective electronic instrument for recording topographic-geodetic works. Cabinet approved the establishment of state geographic information system - State Register of Topographic and Geodetic Works, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

It will allow private people and legal entities carrying out surveying works to register them through a free government system, with the assignment of the unique registration identifier. Registration will be done through the information system by the local public authorities. In case of impossibility, this right will be transmitted to the administrative authority responsible for the implementation of policies in the geodesy, cartography and geoinformatics.

Currently, there is a lack of a systematic record of topographic-geodetic works in Moldova, and already executed works cannot be used for planning new works, which generates additional costs. Most topographical work in local public authorities is carried out in the field of construction.
