Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration made the statement today.

In a press conference, the official said "for many years, until independence, Russia resorted to hostile policies towards Moldova, towards our economy, towards our independence, by supporting separatism, by introducing embargoes, by the presence of troops on the territory of our country.
