State to subsidize agricultural land protection projects

Chisinau, April 26 /MOLDPRES/- Land owners can submit by 7 June applications for advance subsidies for investment projects regarding land improvement works, soil improvement and protection.

Advance subsidy applications are submitted for the following sub-measures: preventing and combating soil erosion; chemical soil improvement; preserving and increasing soil fertility. State support is 80% of the value of the eligible project, which will not exceed one million lei (about 50 thousand euros).

Eligible for subsidies are private people/legal entities or first-level territorial administrative units, who own land in ownership, possession or use, registered in the manner established by law, and are going to implement the project in a first-level administrative-territorial unit.

Payments will be made in two installments: I installment - 70% of the subsidy value, which will be paid on the condition of presenting evidence of co-financing from the Beneficiary in proportion to at least 20% of the value of the investment project; II installment – 30% of the subsidy value, will be made based on the disbursement request, when the investment object is put into operation and the presentation of the confirmatory documents.
