Chisinau, April 26 /MOLDPRES/- Government approved today a draft law for the ratification of the decision of the EU-Moldova Customs Sub-Committee, adopted in Brussels on 3 October 2022 regarding the mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) programs, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The decision aims to implement the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, especially in the customs regime and trade facilitation, thus strengthening the cooperative relations between the customs authorities of the two parties.

Mutual recognition of trade partnership programs will help improve security and facilitate the supply chain of goods between our country and the EU.

Therefore, the economic agents that will obtain the status of AEO will benefit from several advantages, such as reduced controls, priority treatment at customs, priority at transport control.

The decision's ratification will optimize the interaction and coordination of the activity of the customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova and the EU under joint efforts to secure the borders and facilitate commercial exchanges.
