Moldovan farmers benefit from financing worth 433 million lei on behalf of state since early 2023

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency for Investments and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) in the first four months of this year disbursed over 433 million lei (21.65 million euros) for applications on providing of subsidies received in 2022.

The subsidies were provided by diverse mechanisms of stimulation; most of them (355 million lei) were for post-investment subsidies. ‘’Another 54 million lei was provided for the implementation of 80 investment projects which contribute to the rural development; 12 million lei – for development of startup projects and 12 million lei – for 250 investment projects financed for the implementation of the LEADER Programme,’’ according to the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA).

Also, another over 5,600 applications on the providing of post-investment subsidies, worth about 822 million lei, are to be considered.

For this year, under the state budget law, the size of the National Fund of Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment is of 1.5 billion lei.
