Seventy five international observers to monitor regional elections in Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has accredited the last international observers for the monitoring of the elections of the governor (bashkan) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA) of Gagauzia and the partial elections for the People’s Assembly (local parliament) of UTA Gagauzia, due on 30 April 2023.
According to CEC, at its today’s meeting, the Commission accredited 11 international observers on behalf of the Embassy of United Kingdom in Moldova, nine international observers on behalf of the European Union’s Delegation in Moldova and two international observers on behalf of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova.
Thus, the regional elections from UTA Gagauzia, due to be held on next Sunday, will be monitored by 75 international observers.
