EXCLUSSIVE Moldovan PM's reaction to charges by candidate for office of Gagauzia's governor Dumitru Croitor

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean today came up with a reaction to a groundless charge by a candidate for the office of bashkan (governor) of Gagauzia, Dumitru Croitor. The spokesman for the PM, Daniel Voda, has made statements to this effect for MOLDPRES.   

„I demand that the candidates for the office of bashkan do not involve me in the electoral campaign in the region. Citizen Croitor should propose solutions to solve the real problems of the autonomy and not invoke the problems of communication of Irina Vlah. Croitor must take into account the interests of our citizens from the autonomy, but not unite with those who defend the attackers and aggressors. It is shameful for Dumitru Croitor that my name and the one of the government has become subject of campaign in an important region for our country, in which the state invested and invests regularly in roads, hospitals and other infrastructure objects. I understand that there are several days left till the elections; yet, I warn citizen Croitor that I will not tolerate attempts of division between the autonomy and the central public administration,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.       

It is worth mentioning that the reaction of Prime Minister Dorin came after the candidate for the office of bashkan of Gagauzia, Dumitru Croitor, had criticized the PM for the fact that, at one of the cabinet meetings, he made a retort to the bashkan of Gagauzia, Irina Vlah, as to ban on the entry in Moldova for the leader of Russia’s Tatarstan region, Rustam Minnikhanov.
