Moldovan parliament speaker has bilateral meetings with more counterparts from EU in Prague

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had bilateral meetings with more counterparts from European Union states, during his participation in the Conference of Parliament Speakers from the European Union, held in Prague.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the priorities of the Moldovan governance, the reforms underway in the justice sector and in the economic one, as well as the challenges faced by Moldova nationally and regionally were discussed at the meetings with Croatia’s Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic and Parliament Speaker of Denmark Søren Gade.
The Moldovan parliament speaker met also with Vice President of the French National Assembly Valérie Rabault and the delegation of the parliament of the Netherlands - Anthonie Brujin and Vera Bergkamp. The discussions were focused on the progress made in the implementation of those nine recommendations of the European Commission, in the context of the giving of the status of candidate for accession to the European Union.
„Our parliamentary agenda is an ambitious one; yet, we are determined to do our homework as good as possible. Moldova’s citizens deserve to live in democracy and to lead a European life. I thanked the partners from France, Croatia, the Netherlands and Denmark for the assistance provided to the Moldovans, to overcome the crises from the last years, as well as for support in the European integration process,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu stressed.
